Learn Who We Are

  • Jessica Allen, DVM

Dr. Allen's journey in veterinary medicine began in 2003 as a kennel worker for a local hospital in her home town of Warner Robins, GA. She has worked in the veterinary field from the ground up, serving in nearly every position and gaining experience along the way. She attended Georgia Southern University for her undergraduate and graduate studies in biology and epidemiology, respectfully.

Dr. Allen earned her veterinary degree from Auburn University where she dedicated her free time to coordinating the university's Turtle Rehabilitation Program and serving as a volunteer shift-leader at the Southeastern Raptor Center. Following veterinary school, she completed a small animal medical and surgical rotating internship with emphasis in emergency and critical care in Chattanooga, TN.

Dr. Allen has a special interest in veterinary hospice and palliative care. She also holds a special place in her heart for aquatic animals, wildlife, and exotic animals, although she isn't able to work with them very often these days.

Dr. Allen and her husband have three dogs and a chinchilla. In their spare time, they enjoy SCUBA diving and traveling. Her bucket list includes diving in Iceland's Silfra fissure and visiting every continent (she's only made it to four of the seven so far).

  • Michael Epperson , DVM

Dr. Epperson is a 2003 graduate of Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Animal and Dairy Science at Mississippi State University. He practiced in Memphis, TN, for 2 years before making his decent to the Emerald Coast. He practiced in Pensacola for 2 years once arriving in the Panhandle. Dr. Epperson has a special interest in surgery, dermatology and ultrasound. He serves a District Representative for the Florida Veterinary Medical Association and is a member of the Miracle Strip Veterinary Medical Society.
